Celebrating Global Excellence: A Historic Achievement in Antalya

It is with immense pride and profound joy that we announce the triumphant return of our student delegation from the Global Goal Model United Nations (MUN) conference held in Antalya, Turkey. Our students did more than just participate; they distinguished themselves as leaders on a global stage, demonstrating the academic rigor and diplomatic character that define our institution.

A Record-Breaking Performance:

Representing both Ethiopia and the African continent, our team of 10 student delegates engaged in rigorous debate across four specialized committees. We are thrilled to share that our school secured a total of seven prestigious awards:

Ø 2 Best Delegate Awards (The highest individual honor)

Ø 3 Outstanding Diplomacy Awards

Ø 2 Honorable Mentions

Beyond these individual accolades, the collective performance of our students led to the highest honor of the conference: Hellenic Greek International School was officially ranked first as the overall Delegation.

Prestigious Recognition & Future Opportunities:

The excellence of our students has opened doors to international horizons. We are proud to announce that our two Best Delegate winners have been promised full scholarships to attend an upcoming conference in Rome, Italy with all expenses paid by the organizers. This all-expenses-paid opportunity, provided by the conference organizers, serves as a testament to their exceptional command of international relations and persuasive advocacy.

The Spirit of Diplomacy:

 While the trophies and scholarships are remarkable, we are most proud of the conduct and character displayed by our students. Throughout the sessions, they exhibited:

• Unwavering Teamwork: Supporting one another through complex negotiations.

• Cultural Ambassadorship: Representing the values of our school and our nation with grace and confidence.

• Intellectual Leadership: Proposing innovative solutions to United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Safe Return

We are pleased to confirm that the delegation arrived back safely at Bole International Airport at 12:09 AM yesterday, greeted by the warmth of their families and the satisfaction of a job well done.

We extend our deepest gratitude to the parents, the school and their dedicated advisors who supported these students throughout their preparation. This victory belongs to our entire community.
